The discovery

On February 13, 2009 My life was changed forever. I was diagnosed with Smoldering Myeloma. The stage before Multiple Myeloma (cancer of the blood plasma). I have spent the past year coming To grips with what was going on with my body and what I could do on my part to make things better.
The first thing I had to get passed was how differently the people in my lie began to behave. I don't think I was prepared for the distance that can, but in time I have learned how to deal with it, And just be grateful for those that are able to be around. The second thing I had to do was to allow myself to grieve. To grieve the loss of my life as I knew it and, for the past year I have been doing just that. Things were going to have to change if I was going to keep myself healthy.
I decided to do was to change my diet. I am not saying I am an angel, but I do try to eat as healthy as I can and get my rest, but while I was grieving I have to admit I wasn't very kind to myself.
As of a month ago, I began my RAW FOOD Diet. I am about 90% raw. and I try to do 4 to 6 green drinks a day. The good thing is I have started to lose the weight I gained over the past year.
My numbers (blood) don't look as good as I would like but they are still in a good place.
I don't know what they future holds but I am going to do my best to keep this illness under control.
And now my journey begins.
